This beautiful handcrafted Ventile® MANCMAK™ is a timeless & pratical single breasted raincoat, ideal for the Manchester climate
The fabric was developed at the Shirley Institute in MANCHESTER in the 1930s and made from the finest 100% long staple cotton. It is entirlety warm, waterproof and breathable, even in extreme conditions without any coating or laminating in any way
It was initially developed for the fire brigade, then the military jumped on it for its properties and used it pilots uniforms, for as they had to bail out over the freezing waters of the Chanel in the Second World War, it would keep them warm & dry at the same time for upto 28min
The VENTILE® MANCMAK™ is hancrafted in small batches in the old mill town of Bolton in Lancashire. Joe & Co® have re designed this MAC to suit the individual who wants something praticlal and timeless that will keep them warm and dry and also function as a timelss classic all year round
The buttons are made in the UKs only button factory from the corozo nut
